How To Use

Vaniqa^® Cream slows down the hair growth and reduces the thickness of the hair by altering the chemicals in the hair follicles. This product should only be used on the face and underneath the skin.

Apply a thin layer of Vaniqa^® Cream to the desired areas of the face and under the chin, at least 5 minutes after hair removal (e.g. tweezing, shaving). Rub in thoroughly. Avoid contact with broken or irritated skin, eyes and certain body parts with mucous membranes (e.g. mouth, nasal passages). If accidental contact does occur, rinse out with cold water immediately. Do not wash the treated area for at least 4 hours and wash hands thoroughly after application. Wait at least 8 hours before applying the cream again. You may apply cosmetics and sunscreen to the treatment area, but no sooner than 5 minutes after using Vaniqa^® Cream.

Overdose

• Dizziness
• Loss of appetite
• Facial swelling
• Hearing loss
• Hair loss
• Headache
• Unusual bruising or bleeding
• Seizures
• Upset stomach
• Weakness

If you suspect you have taken too much of this medication, you should contact your local poison control center or the emergency medical services immediately.

Missed Dose

If you miss a dose of Vaniqa^® Cream, skip the missed dose and return to your regular dosing schedule. Do not apply 2 doses at once.

Precautions

Before using Vaniqa^® Cream, inform your doctor of any relevant medical history, including:

• Any allergies
• Cuts, infections or sores on face

If your skin becomes irritated by the cream you should try using it less frequently. If the irritation persists, stop using the cream and consult your doctor.

Excessive hair growth due to underlying diseases needs to be investigated and treated before using Vaniqa^®.

Vaniqa^® Cream is not intended for use by:

• Males
• Girls aged under 12 years

Vaniqa^® Cream is classified as Pregnancy Category C by the FDA, which means it is unknown whether it can cause harm to an unborn baby. It is therefore advised not to use this product if you are currently pregnant or planning to become pregnant in the near future.

It is not known whether Vaniqa^® Cream passes into breast milk. Do not use this cream if you are currently breastfeeding.

Drug Interactions

There are no specific known medications or products that interact with Vaniqa® Cream. However, negative interactions are always possible and it is therefore advised to notify your doctor of all other medications you are currently using, including herbal products, vitamins and medications prescribed by other doctors, especially skin care or hair removal products. Do not start or stop using any medication without discussing this with your doctor first.

All medicines may cause side effects, but many people have no, or minor, side effects.

Possible common side effects include:

• Redness
• Skin tingling
• Temporary stinging or burning

Seek medical attention right away if any of these severe side effects occur:

• Skin rash
• Hives
• Shortness of breath
• Tightness in the chest
• Swelling of the mouth, face, lips or tongue
• Bleeding or irritation of the skin.
